Why was my campaign cancelled?
A clear list of reasons ShoutXChange may have cancelled your campaign without you asking.
Updated April 15, 2026
If a campaign got cancelled without you clicking cancel, one of these is the reason. Do not worry. Most are easy to fix and your records are kept.
Your card on file failed
If we tried to charge your card for a fee or a credit pack and the card was declined, we cancel any active campaign on the same day. We do not want fans flowing in while no one is paying for them.
Fix: go to Billing, add a new card or update the failing one, then start a new campaign. Past records are kept.
Your token expired and stayed expired
If your OnlyFans token expires and you do not reconnect within seven days, we cancel any open campaign on your end. We cannot send shoutouts without a working token.
Fix: go to Accounts, click Reconnect, and run the connect flow. Then start a new campaign.
You broke a rule
If we see something that breaks our rules. Repeated cancels, fake fans, a banned word in a shoutout message. We cancel the campaign and freeze your account. You get an email with the reason.
Fix: reply to the email. We look at every case ourselves before we make it final. If it was a mistake, we lift the freeze.
Your account was paused for safety
If we saw a sign-in we did not expect (new country, weird hours, etc.), we pause the account to protect you. Open campaigns get paused too, and may be cancelled if the freeze lasts too long.
Fix: read the email we sent. Confirm the sign-in was you (or not). If it was not, see the "what to do if your account is compromised" article.
A long-running match never closed
If a single match sits open for more than 30 days without finishing, our cleanup ends it. The campaign that owned it may be ended too, if it had no other open matches.
Fix: open a fresh campaign. The fans we already delivered are still counted in your records.
You manually paused for too long
If you paused a campaign and never came back, we end it after 60 days, just to keep our match list fresh. We send a reminder email at day 50.
Fix: start a new campaign.
How to know exactly why
Every cancelled campaign shows a reason on its detail page. Click the campaign in your list to see the line that ended it.
If the reason is unclear, contact us with the campaign name and we will explain in plain English.
Cancelled campaigns do not hurt your trust score by themselves. The thing that hurts your score is repeated cancels mid-flight that you started yourself. Cleanup cancels and card-fail cancels do not affect score.
