Troubleshooting

Why is my post stuck?

A clear list of reasons a shoutout post might be stuck or delayed, and what to do about each.

Updated April 15, 2026

If a shoutout looks stuck, do not worry. Here are the most common reasons, and the fix for each.

It is just waiting for its window

Every campaign has a window. The time of day shoutouts go out. If a shoutout is queued for 2pm and you are looking at it at 11am, it is not stuck, just waiting.

Fix: check the campaign window. The dashboard shows the next post time on every queued shoutout.

OnlyFans is having a slow moment

Sometimes the OnlyFans servers are slow. We try a few times in a row. If they are all slow, your post is held until OnlyFans is back to normal.

Fix: wait. We retry on our own. The dashboard shows "retrying" and the next try time.

Your token expired

The token that links ShoutXChange to your page can expire if your OnlyFans password was changed long ago and you never re-confirmed.

Fix: go to Accounts, click Reconnect on the page that is stuck, and run the connect flow again. It takes ten seconds. Held shoutouts release once the new token is set.

You have unread terms or a paused state

If you have a banner at the top of your dashboard ("please read the new terms" or "your account is paused"), shoutouts wait until you clear the banner.

Fix: click the banner, do what it asks (read terms, pay an invoice, etc.). Posts release right after.

A safety check held it

We run light safety checks on every shoutout. Making sure the link works, the message text is okay, and so on. If a check fails, the post pauses and a small note shows up on the dashboard.

Fix: read the note. Most fixes are quick. Typo in the message, a banned word, a link that did not load. Once you fix it, click Try again.

Your partner cancelled

If your partner cancelled their side, the trade winds down and your post may be cancelled with it. You will see a small note that says "match cancelled by partner".

Fix: nothing to do. The credits set aside come back to your balance. Your trust score is not hurt.

How to ask for help

If none of the above match, go to the contact form, pick Troubleshooting, and tell us:

  1. The campaign name.
  2. The shoutout date.
  3. What the dashboard shows.

We can dig into the logs from our side and tell you exactly what is going on. Most stuck posts are fixed within an hour of you contacting us.
