Why we never store your password

A plain-English explanation of why ShoutXChange only ever uses tokens, never passwords, to connect to your accounts.

Updated April 15, 2026

One of the most common questions we get is: do you store my OnlyFans password? The answer is no, and we want to explain why.

The short answer

We use something called a token. A token is like a key cut just for ShoutXChange. It only opens the doors we asked for. You can take the key back any time. Your password stays a secret between you and OnlyFans.

Why it matters

Storing passwords is risky. Even big companies get hacked. If we stored your password and got hacked, the hackers would have your full OnlyFans account. They could read your messages. They could change your bank info. They could lock you out.

A token is much safer. The worst a hacker could do with our token is send a shoutout. That is bad, but it is fixable. Your money, your fans, and your messages stay yours.

What about other tools?

Some other shoutout tools do ask for your OnlyFans password. We get it. It is faster to build that way. But it is also more dangerous for you. We chose the slower, safer path on purpose.

If a tool asks for your password and stores it, that tool can do anything you can do on your account. Read everything, send everything, see everything. We never want that power over you.

What you can check

You can see all connected apps on your OnlyFans account settings. ShoutXChange will show up there. Next to it you will see a list of permissions. Read stats, send messages, see signups. That is all.

If you ever see a permission you did not expect, click Disconnect right there. The link stops working in seconds.

What happens if we have to look at your account?

Sometimes our support team needs to help you fix something on your page. We do not log in as you. We ask you to share a screen, or to send us a screenshot. We never need your password to help.

This is a hard rule. If a member of our team ever asks you for your password, that is not really our team. Report it to support and we will look into it right away.
