How OnlyFans connection works
A simple look at the safe, token-based way we connect to your page without ever seeing your password.
Updated April 15, 2026
When you connect your OnlyFans page to ShoutXChange, we use a small thing called a token. This is normal for most modern apps. It is the same idea as when you sign in to a new app with Google. You log in to Google, Google gives the new app a token, and the new app never sees your Google password.
The flow, step by step
- You click Connect on ShoutXChange.
- A new tab opens to OnlyFans.
- You log in there, on OnlyFans, like you always do.
- OnlyFans asks if you want to give ShoutXChange access.
- You say yes.
- OnlyFans hands ShoutXChange a short, limited token.
- The tab closes and you are back on ShoutXChange.
The whole thing takes about ten seconds.
What the token can do
The token is not a master key. It can do only what we asked for, and nothing more:
- Read basic stats from your page.
- Send a direct message to your fans when you tell us to.
- See if a fan signed up with our tracking link.
It cannot read your private fan messages. It cannot charge your fans. It cannot change your subscription price. It cannot see your bank info.
How long the token lasts
The token works as long as you let it. You can break the link any time from the Accounts page. When you do, the token stops working right away. We do not keep a copy.
Why this is safer than giving a password
If you gave us your password, we would have your full account. If we got hacked, the hackers would have your full account too. With a token, the worst that can happen is that someone could send a shoutout in your name. Bad, but a thousand times less bad. And you can kill the token in one click.
What if I change my OnlyFans password?
Nothing breaks. The token is not tied to your password. You can change your password as often as you like. Your ShoutXChange link stays alive.
